Inniscarra were defeated by Midleton at Balyanly on Thursday evening. Inniscarra scored only one point in the match courtesy of a David Linehan 65, but that dosent tell the whole story as the match was much closer than the scoreline suggests but Inniscarra just had no luck in front of goal. From the throw-in Inniscarra were on the attack straight away with Fiachra Wall finding Blaine O'Farrell who passed to Kevin O'Connell but his shot was just off target.A good clearance by Colm Ring found Max O'Leary who was fouled but David Linehans free shot from an acute angle was just wide.Another free followed after a foul on Robert Dooling but again the resulting free was wide. Brilliant defensive play by Sean O'Sullivan and William O'Connell got the ball to Joseph Moynihan and he transferred it to Ben O'Connell who picked out Tadgh Keohane who was through on goal but was fouled and a penalty awarded but again the penalty shot was saved by the keeper. The half time score was Midleton  1  -  4,  Inniscarra  0  -  0. Inniscarra again played very well in the second half but the scores just wouldn't materialise. A good save by Ben Gleeson was cleared to James Fairtlough whose good play got the ball to Conor Earle who picked out Alex Neilan whose shot on goal was deflected out for a 65 which David Linehan duly converted for a point.Excellent defending by Ross Foley got the ball to Harry Lynch and with help from Conor Earle found Jack Scanlon but his shot on goal was saved. Inniscarra never dropped their heads and kept attacking to the very end so they can be satisfied with the performance and hopefully the scores will materialise in the next match.  Final score  MIDLETON  1  -  5 , INNISCARRA  0  -  1.
