IMPRESSIVE DISPLAY BY U-15 HURLERS

INNISCARRA 7 - 11, BISHOPSTOWN 0 - 5.

In the Premier 1 U-15 hurling league at Ballyanly on Saturday Inniscarra had an impressive win over Bishopstown. Playing against the wind in the first half Inniscarra were slow to get going but a good early save from goalkeeper Padraig Holland settled them. Bishopstown scored first but an impressive full back line of Evan Kelly, Brian Linehan and the dependable Cillian Murphy at full back prevented further scores.  Owen McCarthy pointed for Inniscarra after a fine run from Dylan Church and then goaled after good work from the hard working Eddie O'Connor. Con O'Leary was superb at centre back with Jamie O'Sullivan also impressing to keep Inniscarra in control.  Owen McCarthy had another point before Dylan Church set up Sean Geary for a goal before scoring a point himself. Frankie Horgan then hit a purple patch scoring two great points and a further point from Owen McCarthy had the score at half time 

INNISCARRA 2 - 6, BISHOPSTOWN 0 - 4.

Bishopstown scored the first point of the second half but from then on it was all Inniscarra with the half back line of Mark McLoughlin, Con O'Leary and Jack O'Sullivan completely in control. Sean Geary scored his second goal after a lay-off from Dylan Church.  Frankie Horgan had another point before Owen McCarthy scored his second goal followed by another goal from Frankie Horgan. Liam Ryan then set up Mark Buckley for a goal before two excellent points followed - one from long range from Liam Ryan and then Con O'Leary from the right wing.  Substitute Eoghan Daly then scored a goal before a point from a 65 from Owen McCarthy and a late point from Dylan Church left the final score
