Cul Camp 2015 2015-08-07 14:15:00

It's hard to believe that it rained once during the week of camp and the most playing time participants lost out on was thirty minutes.  Although not a sunny as previous years, camp 2015 went well and hopefully all who took part enjoyed the week.

This year over 230 players registered for Camp. As you can imagine this was a huge number and all green spaces in the GAA pitch, Community pitch and box pitch was used up.  Highlights of the week included Cork hurler, Alan Cadogan, visit on Thursday,  freestyle hurling competitions and matches between under 12 / 13 boys against girls. Rumour has it the girls won the first match on the Thursday. The week finished with the visit of the ice cream van, it was a well deserved treat for everyone.

It was a huge organisation event, thanks to all participants, parents, coaches and assistant coaches. Special thanks to Joanne Murphy who acted as a fist aider for the week,  Margaret O'Connell and Dora Desmond who supervised and coordinated the week superbly.
