Premier 2A Fe 15 Hurling Championship Semi-Final. INNISCARRA 3 - 16, PASSAGE 1 - 11.

Inniscarra scored a comprehensive victory over Passage at Ballincollig on Saturday last. The first score of the game came from a penalty awarded to Inniscarra after a beautiful line ball by Fergal O'Leary reached the square and good work by Oisin Morris resulted in a foul from which Padraig Holland scored a point.  A good clearance by Sean Sheehan found Padraig Holland and he scored his second point followed by a pointed free after a foul on Dylan Colgan.  Inniscarra then scored four excellent points in a row, the first by Dylan Colgan followed by Mark Buckley and Padraig Holland and the fourth by David Kiely after good work by Colin O'Leary. A penetrating run by Mark Buckley led to the ball breaking and it was finished to the net by Jack Egan.  Another good point by Mark Buckley left the half time score INNISCARRA  1 - 8, PASSAGE  0 - 5.

Good play by David Kiely led to Fergal O'Leary scoring the first point of the second half followed by an excellent point by Jack Egan.  Passage then exerted some pressure and scored three points followed by a goal from a penalty to leave just two points between the sides but from then on Inniscarra took control with Jack O'Sullivan leading by example from centre back with Sean Sheehan and Peter Sheehan showing some excellent skill.  The full back line of Sean Leisk, captain Sean Aherne and Eoin O'Herlihy snuffed out any threat from the Passage forwards.  An excellent clearance from reliable goalkeeper Evin Cunningham found Peter Sheehan who gave a good ball to Mark Buckley and he scored another goal to increase the lead.  Points by Jack Egan and Mark Buckley and a pointed 65 by Padraig Holland kept the pressure on Passage and another goal by Mark Buckley was followed by a point by Jack Egan and two points by Stephen Linehan.  Final score INNISCARRA  3 - 16,  PASSAGE  1 - 11.
