U-14 HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP SET FOR REPLAY 2017-08-25 12:21:00

Inniscarra and Clonakilty must meet again in the U-14A Hurling Championship after the game in Newcestown on Wednesday evening was abandoned when a Clonakilty player sustained a potentially serious leg injury after just seven minutes of the second half and had to be removed from the pitch by ambulance.  Inniscarra played against a very strong wind in the first half and trailed by  2  -  6 to  0  -  5  at half time - Joseph Enright scoring three points and Conrad Desmond and John Cussen scoring a point each. After the resumption Inniscarra pressed hard and scored a goal through Joseph Enright and with the strong wind to their backs looked in a very good position to win the game but the injury to the  Clonakilty player will necessitate a replay which is fixed for the same venue on next Monday evening.

Scorers , Joseph Enright  1 - 3,  Conrad Desmond  0 - 1,  John Cussen  0 - 1.
