INNISCARRA  4 - 6,   MIDLETON  2 - 8.
At Ballyanly on Saturday Inniscarra u-16 footballers defeated Midleton in the Rebel Og Premier 2 u-16 football league.  Inniscarra got the perfect start with Liam Buckley winning the throw-in and delivered a great ball to Dave Og Coleman to score a goal. Midleton replied with two points and a goal after seven minutes but on nine minutes Ardal O'Connell found the net from a pass by Michael O'Connell. Two minutes later Dave Coleman scored his second goal after brilliant work by Colin O'Sullivan. Midleton then got on top but good defensive work from the backs, particularly Callum Morris, Liam Doyle and Emmett Leen and a good save from Sam Doyle kept Inniscarra in touch.In this period Midleton scored a goal and two points. Just before half time a brilliant shot from Owen Murphy was parried onto the post by the opposition keeper and cleared to leave the score at half-time

For the second half Darragh Hughes started in goal and Eddie O'Connor replaced Cian Walsh. Inniscarra played much better in the second half with the half back line of Ciaran Lombard, James Buckley and Jamie O'Sullivan to the fore. Dave Coleman pointed two frees, Colin O'Sullivan and Michael O'Connell had points and on ten minutes Michael O'Connell struck for a goal after good work by Eddie O'Connor. Colin and Michael repeated the act with two further points after good passes from Owen McCarthy. Con O'Leary, Diarmuid Twomey, Ryan O'Callaghan and Adam Mannix also contributed to this victory when introduced.
