U14HC Inniscarra V Watergrasshill 2015-08-26 08:52:00

Inniscarra defeated Watergrasshill on Tuesday evening at Ballyanly in the u-14 Hurling Championship.  Inniscarra settled quickly and Sean Sheehan scored the first point followed by two points from Padraig Holland the first from a free.  Inniscarra were playing well with Shane Aherne in particular at full back in complete control and Ronan Twomey clearing great ball but a long range free from the Hill ended in the net to level the scores.  Padraig Holland had two more points from frees and Jack Egan scored a beauty from play. Mark Buckley, who was very effective at full forward, scored a point and then Padraig Holland pointed from a 65 and a free following a foul on Sean Sheehan.  The Hill then scored a second goal before Jack Egan set up David Kiely for a point to leave the half time score

Watergrasshill scored the first point of the second half followed by a pointed free by Padraig Holland.  David Kiely then made a great run to score a crucial goal to put Inniscarra in a comfortable position.  Points from Paul Hayes, Mark Buckley and two points from frees by Padraig Holland were followed by another brilliant goal by David Kiely.  The half back line of Fergal O'Leary, Jack O'Sullivan and Peter Sheehan were outstanding at this stage and Inniscarra ran out comfortable winners.
