Minor P2 Championship 2019-04-27 11:13:00

Inniscarra (short a few first team players) were well beaten by Bride Rovers in the P2 Fe 18 Hurling  Championship at Kilbarry on Wednesday evening. Playing with the wind in the first half Inniscarra struggled to get into the game and were three points to one down after 10 minutes, the point coming from a Padraig Holland free after a foul on Mark Buckley. Inniscarra then settled and points by Oisin Morris and  Sean Sheehan and three pointed frees by Padraig Holland had Inniscarra leading by three but then Bride Rovers were awarded a penalty which was brilliantly saved by Evin Cunningham. Bride Rovers then scored two more points with Padraig Holland replying with a pointed free but two quick goals by Bride Rovers and a pointed free by Padraig Holland meant Inniscarra trailed by  2  -  6  to  0  -  8 at half time.  Inniscarra started the second half well with Sean Sheehan outstanding at centre back but were off target with most of their attempts at scores. After conceding another goal Colin O'Leary and Sean Leisk combined to set up Joe Enright who was unlucky as his shot on goal was just over the cross bar for a point.. A pointed free by Padraig Holland was followed by a purple patch by  Bride Rovers when they scored two goals and six points without reply. Inniscarra did have the last two scores with points from play by Mark Buckley and Padraig Holland.  Final score  BRIDE ROVERS  5  -  13,  INNISCARRA  0  -  12.
